Welcome / June Recap
Hello everyone, and welcome to our new blog! We will be using this space to share updates, give behind the scenes insights, and feature guest writers.
The first thing we’d like to share is a recap for the month of June. Pride Month brought an influx of donations and volunteers, and we are extremely thankful for all of your support. We want to give a shout out 21c, Listermann Brewing, Cincinnati Skate Collective, and The Oakley Soap Co for their fundraising efforts. Local partnerships are so valuable to us.
One of the best moments of last month was hosting our very first Craft Night! With help from our Youth Council, we had over 30 attendees in the shop. After a long year of isolation, it was so nice to see everyone’s faces again. Our guests made pride themed jewelry, clothing patches, and more. It was a great community building experience for both kids and parents, and we’re looking forward to more events like this one in the future.
We also served 12 clients in the month of June. We worked with each one to find clothes that made them feel comfortable and fit their unique style. In exciting news, we are now expanding our age range to 25 and under. For many trans people, the independence of college and early adulthood gives them a chance to live as their true selves. But buying a whole new wardrobe is not always possible on a young person's budget... That's where we come in. We are really looking forward to working with this new demographic.
As great as last month was, we are already planning bigger and better things for the future. If you’d like to support us, please visit our donation page. Thanks for reading!
