July Recap

Hello everyone and welcome to our July recap! We had a great month here at Transform.

We kicked off the month with a Youth Council meeting featuring Megan Mitchell. Read a rundown here. She opened up about sexuality, mental health, and social media. We appreciated her engagement and insights, and we’ll be thinking about our conversation for a long time.

Our Youth Council also helped to plan our second craft night! This time the theme was collaging. Our attendees came together to cut, paste, and create works of art. We always love to provide a space for young people and families to gather. See below for some transformative creations.

We also served our first clients in the 19-25 age range in July. We are learning to adapt our styling for older folx (for example, finding professional clothes for job interviews). We are so grateful that we have the resources to expand in this way and look forward to continuing to do so.

In a delightful turn of events, girl group Betty came to Cincinnati to do a fundraiser concert for us. We gathered at Urban Artifact and had an excellent night of singing, dancing, and spreading the word about Transform.

As always, the most important part of July was our clients. We had the privilege to work with 14 people! We’ve included some pictures of our stylish clients below.
